南方大学学院50周年纪念系列活动、蕉风70周年纪念系列活动

记忆的彼岸：日治南洋、台湾与砂拉越的历史映像特展

本次特展精选以日本占领时期的台湾、南洋及砂拉越共产党为主题，结合本馆珍贵图书特藏与相关史料，呈现不同时空背景下的历史面貌。展出藏书内容融合多地出版物及现有历史、文学研究成果，旨在引导读者理解多元历史叙述与不同解读角度的意义，探索时人战前生活、战时经验的复杂面向。除配合三部纪录片（7月23日《赤道雨》、7月24日《答邦树的爱情》与7月25日《由岛至岛》）的放映外，更期盼借此搭建马来西亚读者与观影者的对话桥梁，共同铭记与反思这段历史。

展览亮点：

In Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Southern University College and the 70th Anniversary of Chao Foon

"The Other Shore of Memory: Historical Images of Japanese-Occupied Nanyang, Taiwan, and Sarawak" Special Exhibition

This special exhibition highlights themes related to Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and the Sarawak Communist movement under Japanese occupation. Drawing on the library’s treasured special collections and related historical materials, the exhibition presents the historical landscapes of these regions during different periods. By integrating publications from various places alongside existing historical and literary research, it aims to guide readers in understanding the significance of diverse historical narratives and interpretations, and to explore the complexities of people’s lives and wartime experiences. In conjunction with the screening of three documentaries, the exhibition aspires to build a bridge of dialogue between Malaysian readers and viewers, fostering collective remembrance and reflection on this period of history.

Exhibition Highlights:
• Books on the Japanese occupation of Southeast Asia
• Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan
• The development of the Communist Party in Sarawak
