Shuxianglou

Southern University College Shuxianglou Collection Room （书香楼）

             Johor Bahru Thow Teck Club had donated all their collections and fund to Southern University College on 8^th October 2005. All the collections are placed in Shuxianglou Collection Room at Room 424 to 429 on the 3^rd floor of the Main Building.

            The resources in Shuxianglou Collection Room include books, periodicals and newspapers. Most of the collections are in Chinese. The subjects of the books are mainly on language and literature, history, philosophy and arts. While most of the collections were published in China or Hong Kong around 1970 to 1980, some of them were published locally too.

            At the same time, the Bound Newspaper volume collections include those published in Malaysia and Singapore from 1970 to 1980, such as Sin Chew Jit Poh, Nanyang Siang Pau, Min Pao Daily, Shin Min Daily News, The China Press and The Straits Times. We provide Newspaper Request Service for those who are interested to use the newspaper.

Borrowing Privileges

Closed Stack Item Request Service

1.    Students, staff, lecturers and external members with Southern University College ID cards may apply for Closed Stack Item Request Service.

2.    Request form is available at the Library circulation counter or can be downloaded from the Library website.

3.    Fill up the request form and submit it to the Library circulation counter. The requested item(s) can be collected at the counter at the stated time.

4.    Requested items are confined to Shuxianglou collection: General books, reference books and bound newspapers.
